

WEEKLY SHABBAT MEALS & SERVICES
Each Friday night, at least 150 students come to 353 Bowery to celebrate a beautiful Shabbat together in a warm environment with delicious food. On Shabbat day, students gather for Tefillah services and then head upstairs for a kiddush lunch. Following Mincha on Shabbat, CHB hosts an intimate community seudah shlishit meal.

353 BOWERY BUILDING
Chabad House Bowery is an award-winning 8,000-square-foot building located in the heart of Manhattan’s East Village. The light-filled building includes two full floors and a lobby equipped with a shul, library, student lounge, conference rooms, kitchen, and offices.
The Student Lounge
The Chabad House Bowery student lounge is a place where students study, learn and hang out at Chabad House Bowery. The lounge ensures that student don't just come to Chabad for events or services, but to make it their home.
The Shul
This 1,200-square-foot space expresses the epitome of sanctity in the midst of hectic Bowery and downtown city life, where thousands of young Jews connect each year to find community, spirituality, and tradition.
The Jewish Life Hall
This 2,500-square-foot space is used weekly for Shabbat/holiday meals for as many as 500 students, as well as social, educational, and charity events.

EDUCATION AT CHB
Sem CHB
Our once per week women's learning and dinner, led by Dassi Zar and other CHB educators covering topics such as personal growth and development, Parsha, Jewish philosophy and hashkafa.
Yeshiva CHB
Our twice per week Beit Midrash style Talmud learning program featuring a shiur, chavruta learning, and dinner.
Torah Grill and Chill
This track includes our once per week non-text based Torah Grill and Chill program for beginners, where each week young men take their initial fore into Torah learning.
CHB Educators
Our 4 CHB educators meet and learn weekly with students exploring their Torah and life interest areas and forging meaningful connections.

SOCIAL EVENTS AT CHB
CHB hosts 8-10 social events each year to give students an opportunity to hang out and have a good time in a safe, fun environment. These events are planned and executed by students with the guidance of staff. Events include: cooking competitions, a hypnotist show, DJ night, and 21+ evenings.

DAILY MINYAN & BREAKFAST
During the semester, each morning there is a Shacharit minyan at Chabad followed by a full breakfast spread of coffee, eggs, yogurt, cereal, bread, and cheese, etc.

HOLIDAYS AT CHB
High Holidays
High Holidays at CHB are the spiritual high point of the calendar with heartfelt services led by renowned chazzanim, warm community-wide meals including pre and post-Yom Kippur. Armed security is present throughout high holiday services.
Sukkot
Sukkot at CHB includes a beautiful Sukkah in Washington Square Park, holiday meals, social events in the sukkah, as well as a Rabbinical student based in the Sukkah to greet guests and give them the opportunity to shake lulav and etrog.
Simchat Torah
Simchat Torah is the most popular time of year at Chabad with exciting programming for undergraduates and young professionals, communal meals, and inspiring hakafot. Students invite their friends from other campuses to see the beauty and vibrancy of our community.

Chanukah
Chanukah at CHB includes menorah lighting in Washington Square Park with doughnuts and latkes, a toy drive, and a happening Chanukah social event.

Purim
Purim at Chabad provides ample opportunity for the students to fulfill the mitzvot of the day with hourly megillah readers, a beautiful community Purim seudah, a festive Purim party, as well as shalach manot distribution.

Pesach
Pesach at Chabad caters to students and young professionals who stay in the city for the holiday and don't have family holiday plans. Activities at Chabad include beginner level sedarim, matzah distribution, chol hamoed and yom tov meals.

Shavuot
Shavuot at CHB features a lavish dairy kiddush, community yom tov meals, and services.

MONTHLY DINNER AT KA
Kehilas Atid hosts monthly Friday night dinners. It include a three course delicious meal with the perfect crew of friends right across from the Atid space.

SHABBAT AT KEHILAS ATID
KA has weekly minyanim for Friday night and Shabbat day. It includes a Shabbat day full Kiddush and a Friday night pre-Kabbalat Shabbat light bites.

KEHILAS ATID SPACE
Kehilas Atid young professional community has its own unique space for Shabbos. Right in the middle of the East Village on Bowery, KA shares a space with Sage Kitchen at 352 Bowery.
